Bangladesh Embassy in Japan in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and Japan-Bangladesh Committee for Commercial and Economic Cooperation (JBCCEC) is going to organize an event titled “Bangladesh NEXT, your next IT destination” on 15th November 2013 at the Sheraton Miyako hotel in Tokyo, Japan. Around 200 potential IT entrepreneurs, C-level executives, IT professionals from Japan are expected to attend the event.
In response to the request from the Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan, BASIS president Shameem Ahsan will deliver the keynote speech at this event. Mr. Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan will chair the session. The overview of Bangladesh IT industry and opportunities for Japanese IT entrepreneurs to the technology sector of Bangladesh IT industry will be highlighted in his speech.
According to Shameem Ahsan, as an industry association, BASIS has set a target to achieve US $ 1 billion from Software and IT services within next few years which is currently US $100 million only. He also added that, in addition to Japan, BASIS will organize similar kind of branding event and Road shows in 30 other countries of the world.
